GENERAL ITALIAN
Our general Italian courses address all levels of proficiency on the CEFR scale, from A1 to C2, through engaging, constantly updated syllabi based on the students’ goals and needs. All our courses aim to provide students with the necessary tools to know how to use the language in different real communication contexts. Our students are presented with authentic situations and challenged by real-life scenarios. Grammar and vocabulary enhancement are, of course, always priorities. The student is the key player in the learning process, actively engaged during lessons and participating in class interaction. For all levels of proficiency the integrated development of four abilities (listening, speaking, reading, writing) is encouraged through the use of diversified, motivating didactic materials.
CILS and CELI PREPARATION
If you are planning to take the exams for the Cils certification issued by the University for Foreigners of Siena or the Celi certification at the University for Foreigners of Perugia, this course will provide you with a preparation targeted to the exam itself. For all examination levels we offer training focused on the tests’actual contents and structure, using the original exercises as well as others designed by our teachers.
UNIVERSITY PREPARATION
If you are attending, or are planning to attend, University in Italy, this course is right for you. We offer a specific learning process focussing on the structures, vocabulary, abilities and language skills required in order to attend University classes and successfully pass exams. Through the use of real-world materials you will be prepared to face those communicational situations, text typologies, grammar structures and vocabulary most typical of a University career. This course will also help you in gaining a better understanding of the Italian university system in all its features.
SECTOR-BASED ITALIAN
This course is ideal for those who wish to gain a deeper knowledge of a specific area of Italian language and culture for academic, professional or personal reason. Upon request, we can provide Italian courses on medicine, economy, fashion and design, music and much more. Through the use of real-life materials students will be confronted with the vocabulary and linguistic structures most common in their specific sector of choice.
BUSINESS COURSES
In the workplace it is often necessary to rapidly develop language skills appropriate to the aims of the conversation and to a specific context. Consistently with the progress scale defined by CFER levels, from A1 to C2, and based on the lient’s goals, specific modules, linguistic structures, skills and abilities can be developed in further depth. Our business courses can be held at the client’s premises, so that they may best fit in the company and participants’ schedules.
A FEW DAYS IN PAVIA
"A few days in Pavia" is a mini-course for those students/tourists who are staying in Pavia only for a few days. The course includes an 8 hour language course + 1 lunch with tasting of local products. On request it’s possible to organize Italian cooking classes.
